We wish to update you on developments at Boyden-Hare Opticians including the closure of the Bents Green practice.

We have started a series of upgrades from our Fulwood practice which include a practice management computer system, retinal camera, new sight testing equipment and a visi-office dispensing station. This has allowed us to bring the practice up to date. We have also completely refreshed our frame ranges and for the first time introduced a contact lens service for new and existing wearers.

​

We also have a new practice manager Fran Whittington who is also a qualified Dispensing Optician. This allows us to provide a full dispensing service, glasses adjustments, fittings and collections without the need to book an appointment with the Opthalmic Optician.

Our Opthalmic Optician Adam Kerrigan will concentrate on the clinical side  including eye examinations, contact lens checks and fittings and myopia management solutions in children.

It has become apparent that to provide the ongoing customer service required, it is necessary to run Boyden-Hare Opticians from our Fulwood practice, Brooklands Avenue, Sheffield. We have come to the difficult decision to close the Bents Green practice. All patients who are registered with our Bents Green practice will be recalled to the Fulwood practice for their eye care when due. 

 

The Fulwood practice is just over a mile from the Bents Green practice with good parking including a disabled parking space outside the store. For those who take public transport and wish to seek eye care in the S11 area, David Inman Opticians, 902 Ecclesall Road have kindly opened extra capacity for private and NHS patients.

 

Lindsey who has provided service to our Bents Green customers for many years will be moving to our Fulwood practice to support Adam and Fran.
